GUY NOBLE
The first Brian Stacey memorial Trust fellowship recipient was Guy Noble in
1998 (currently a presenter on ABC classic FM Breakfast Radio). The Brian Stacey
Memorial Trust, in collaboration with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation,
financed the composing and recording of Guy Noble's 'Flute Concerto'.
On completion, the 'Flute Concerto' was broadcast on ABC Classic FM on the 3rd
anniversary of Stacey's Death on 25 October 1999. A commercial release of the
piece and some of Guy's other work is currently being discussed.
Without the support of the Trust and the ABC, this wonderful piece would never
have been created or recorded and Guy Noble's talent may never have been explored
or nurtured. The Trust is proud to have brought to life this 'Flute Concerto'
in Brian Stacey's treasured memory.
